Use-case guides
Each guide walks through one real job from start to finish: what you set up, the clicks in Context, a sample skill you can copy, and tips. The examples use fictional teams, such as Juniper Outdoor Co. and Harbor & Pine, so change the names, folders and apps to your own. Every guide starts with a single task and adds a skill, an agent, an automation or an applet only when the job needs one.
The guides
| Guide | Who it’s for | What you build |
|---|---|---|
| Build a market or account brief | Sales, account, strategy and marketing teams | Task, skill, and optionally an agent and an automation |
| Review a contract or policy | Legal, procurement, compliance and policy owners | Task, checklist file in Drive, skill, and optionally an agent |
| Prepare for a meeting | Account managers, sales reps, executives and their staff | Connectors, task, skill, and optionally an agent and an automation |
| Automate a recurring report | Anyone who writes the same report every week or month | Task, skill, automation, and a Drive folder |
| Turn your data into an applet | Teams who want to filter data or log entries on a shared screen | Task, applet, a data source, and optionally a skill |
How to pick a starting point
Start from the result you need, not from the feature:
- You need a document once, such as a brief or a review. Start with Build a market or account brief or Review a contract or policy. Both are a single task until you repeat them.
- You need it before every meeting or every week. Start with Prepare for a meeting or Automate a recurring report. Both can run on a schedule as an automation.
- People need to filter, sort or add to the data themselves. Start with Turn your data into an applet.
- You’re not sure. Send it as a task first. If you correct the agent the same way twice, write a skill. If the result is right three times running, automate it.
Choose between tasks, skills, automations, agents and applets explains each option and how one job grows from a task to an applet.
Before you start
The guides assume you have sent a task and attached a file. If not, start with Send a task. Each guide links to the reference pages for the full detail, and these best practices apply to all of them:
- Best practices: habits that get better results from Context.
- Write good task instructions: the brief behind every guide’s first task.
- Build and improve skills: turn a guide’s sample skill into one your team keeps improving.
Next steps
- Build a market or account brief: the simplest guide, a single task with sources.
- Automate a recurring report: a task that becomes a weekly automation.
- Turn your data into an applet: give your team a screen instead of a document.
- Choose between tasks, skills, automations, agents and applets: which tool fits which job.
