Version 1.3 - Quick Chat Mode & Performance

Released: August 4, 2025

Overview

This release introduces Quick Chat Mode, interface optimizations, enhanced user control for tool interactions, and an overhauled feedback system. These updates focus on reducing response latency for simple tasks, improving usability, and aligning chat UX with enterprise usage patterns.

New Feature: Quick Chat Mode

Description: Quick Chat Mode is a new interaction path that bypasses orchestration and deep analysis logic to offer significantly lower-latency responses for basic queries. Key Characteristics:
  • Performance: 5-10× faster average response time compared to Agent Mode
  • Capabilities:
    • Can access uploaded documents and files
    • Does not support trace analysis, toolchains, or multi-step reasoning
  • Default Behavior: Engaged from the second message onward unless manually toggled
  • Toggle Location: Available next to the input box; users may switch between “Agent Mode” and “Quick Chat Mode” at any time

Interface and Interaction Changes

Chat Window and Input

  • Reduced Default Size: Chat window and input box heights have been compressed by ~30%, allowing more content visibility on standard enterprise monitors.
  • Replace Behavior Speed: The replacement interval has been increased by 16× for better readability and stability during code suggestions.

Tool Interaction Controls

  • New Toggles: Before running tools that involve:
    • Modifications (e.g., write operations)
    • External Calls (e.g., API requests, search queries) These now require explicit user confirmation before execution.
  • Bypass Options: Organizations can configure policies for trusted tool types to reduce interruptions.

Performance Enhancements

  • Latency Reduction: Quick Chat Mode reduces first-token latency by an average of 75% for simple queries.
  • Resource Efficiency: Reduced server-side processing for Quick Chat Mode lowers computational overhead by ~60%.
  • Caching Improvements: Enhanced document embedding cache reduces redundant processing for frequently accessed files.

Feedback System Overhaul

  • Simplified Feedback: Replaced the multi-option feedback form with a streamlined thumbs up/down system.
  • Contextual Capture: Feedback now automatically captures interaction context without requiring manual input.
  • Analytics Dashboard: Enterprise admins can access aggregated feedback metrics through the admin portal.

Known Limitations

  • Quick Chat Mode is not suitable for workflows requiring multi-step reasoning or tool orchestration
  • 16× replace speed may degrade stability under high-throughput or poor network conditions
