Get unstuck
The task seems stuck
- Scroll to the bottom of the thread. If there is an approval card or a question, the task is waiting for you.
- Check Inbox > Needs you. It lists every task that is waiting for you, in every workspace.
- Send a short message such as “Carry on” or “Where are you up to?” The agent reads it at its next step.
- Open ⋯ > Computer to see what the agent is doing right now. While the agent is using it, click the Computer button in the header instead.
- If it is going round in circles, click Stop. Then send a clearer instruction, or Fork the task and try again.
Starting five new tasks to fix one problem doesn’t help, because each one starts from scratch. Fix the first task, or fork it.
The result is wrong
If it is close, reply in the same task with exactly what to change. The agent keeps what it has already worked out.
If it is wrong from the start, the ask was probably unclear. Start a new task with a better brief.
If the same kind of job goes wrong again and again, write a skill so the agent learns your way once. See Turn repeat work into skills.
The agent can’t find a file
Attach the file, or type @ and the file’s name in the composer. A file in Your files is only yours, so move it to the workspace’s drive or share it with the agent. An agent can only reach the workspaces it belongs to, which you can check on its Access tab.
An app isn’t working
Open Connectors and look for Needs attention or Not signed in, then sign in again. Check the Connectors button in the composer, because the app may not be turned on for this task. If the row says Ask an admin, your organization hasn’t finished setting that app up yet.
You can’t find a page or button
Press ⌘K (Ctrl+K) and type what you’re looking for. Tasks and Chat moved under Home in October 2026, so start from Home > your workspace. If a button such as New workspace, New agent or Evals is missing, your role may not allow it.
Report a problem
Click your avatar at the bottom of the rail > Report feedback. If your rail has a Help and support button beside the gear, click it > Report a problem instead. Say what you asked for, what you expected and what happened. Include the task’s link (⋯ > Copy link), because it lets support see exactly what happened.
